Protect the future crop from soil pests now
Autumn is the time of harvest and preparation of sown areas for the following crops. An even more important stage of applying soil insecticides is added to such already familiar agro measures as digging, disking and plowing.
Preparations of this group are designed to destroy wintering forms of pests in the soil, such as:
- scoop larvae,
- wire rod,
- potato beetle,
- roach larvae,
- mole cricket.
The fight against pests hibernating in the soil provides healthy soil for the cultivation of subsequent crops.
The company "Imex Agro" recommends applying MetaRiz™ - a biological soil insecticide-fungicide to protect crops from pests and diseases in the soil after harvesting.
MetaRiz™ contains spores of the fungi Metarhizium anisopliae, Trichoderma harzianum and their metabolic products.
Metarhizium anisopliae is an entomopathogenic fungus that infects larvae and adults of pests. At the same time, it parasitizes pests and causes disease (mycosis), resulting in death. The most vulnerable pests that have a chitinous cover are: bear beetle, wireworm, May beetle larvae, diabrotic, scoop larvae, Colorado potato beetle.
Trichoderma suppresses the development of phytopathogens by direct parasitism, competition for the substrate, the release of enzymes, antibiotics (gliotoxin, viridin, trichodermin, etc.) and other biologically active substances that inhibit the development of many types of pathogens and inhibit their reproductive capacity. In the soil, the fungus develops on various plant residues rich in cellulose, on the mycelium of fruiting bodies of phytopathogens.
MetaRiz™, due to its special formulation, is applied by spraying or simultaneously working into the soil (digging, cultivating, plowing, etc.).
The annual use of the MetaRiz™ preparation contributes to a significant reduction of soil pests and improvement of the phytosanitary condition of the soil, which will allow to reduce the use of chemical pesticides for these purposes.
